The main scope of this job is to assist customers in obtaining the right services for their vehicle. The service advisor is the first point of contact for customers who come in for a car wash. Therefore, the interaction with the advisor must set the tone for the overall experience the customer receives.

Provide our customers with the highest quality services and products available, in a friendly environment, at a fair price, and in an efficient manner.

The Service Advisor:

  • Must work as a team player and uphold Octopus Car Wash standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Must maintain a clean organized work area.
  • Must apply high standards of employee conduct. Those standards include reliability, promptness, courtesy, appearance, and professional behavior.
  • Must be able to put forth the best interest of the business, and the customer above their own.

Responsibilities:

  • Work area is outdoors, on concrete or asphalt, in all weather conditions.
  • The environment can become hectic with moving traffic and inconsistent volume causing congestion and the need for traffic control.
  • You are required to provide each customer with a service and price ticket. Good penmanship is necessary.

Job Duties:

  • Greet each customer promptly as they arrive.
  • Evaluate the customer’s needs and recommend services based on our training program.
  • Print the customer’s selections and give it to the customer, write the appropriate code on the window.
  • Assess any safety concerns that we may have about the vehicle; it’s size, accessories, or condition.
  • Answer questions and provide direction for customers who are unfamiliar with our process.

Pay:

  • The pay structure is an hourly rate plus commission. Octopus Car Wash pays an average of $17.00 an hour including commission (subject to change), for all extra services above the basic car wash price.
  • Annual Incomes can exceed $40,000!

Hours and Incentives:

  • The concept is: the more cars we wash the more money you make.

Vacation:

  • Customer Service Advisors employed one full year are allowed one week paid vacation.
  • Customer Service Advisors employed two full years are allowed two weeks paid vacation.
  • Vacations must be taken during the months of June, July, and August. Vacations are taken one week at a time, not consecutive
